GAP Group has announced a new co-working space in Dholera Special Investment Region
(DSIR), adding another piece to the city’s growing business ecosystem. The facility will come
up opposite the Tata Semiconductor FAB in the Activation Area and is expected to be
operational by October 2026.
At first glance, a co-working space may not sound as exciting as a semiconductor plant or a
billion-dollar investment announcement. But projects like these often tell a bigger story.
Factories do not operate in isolation. Before production begins, there are consultants to hire,
contractors to manage, vendors to coordinate with and project teams to house. They all need
places to work, meet clients and run day-to-day operations.
That is where GAP’s latest project fits in.
The facility is designed as a plug-and-play workspace, allowing businesses to start operations
without waiting for permanent office infrastructure. For companies entering Dholera for the
first time, that can save both time and money.
The location is another major advantage. The co-working space is being developed directly
opposite the Tata Semiconductor FAB, placing businesses close to one of India’s most
significant semiconductor projects.
For vendors, EPC contractors and technology partners, proximity can make a real difference.
Fewer hours spent travelling. Faster meetings. Quicker decisions. Better coordination
between teams working on-site.
As more companies begin exploring opportunities in Dholera, demand for this type of
supporting infrastructure is likely to grow. Industrial development is not just about factories
and machinery. It is also about creating an environment where businesses can operate
efficiently from day one.
What Will Be Inside the Facility?
The project is being developed within Akhilam Township and will cover more than 4,100
square metres in a G+1 structure.
According to GAP Group, the facility will include a 400-seat co-working space, a 200-seat
conference hall and a 200-seat food court. Executive cabins, training rooms, collaboration
zones and recreational spaces are also part of the plan.
The idea is simple. Companies arriving in Dholera need a place to work long before their
permanent offices are ready. Some may send only a handful of employees at first. Others
could bring entire project teams. The facility is intended to accommodate both.
The announcement adds another project to GAP Group’s growing portfolio in Dholera.
Over the years, the company has focused largely on residential and township developments
in the region. This project takes a different approach. Instead of housing, the focus is on
creating workspace infrastructure for businesses moving into the city.
Now, with industrial activity increasing across Dholera, the company appears to be
positioning itself to serve the business community as well.
Dholera’s Next Challenge Isn’t Factories
Getting companies to invest is one thing. Supporting them once they arrive is another.
Factories, warehouses and manufacturing plants may be the biggest projects in Dholera, but
they are only part of the picture. Behind every major industrial development are consultants,
contractors, suppliers, project managers and support teams working behind the scenes.
As more businesses establish a presence in the region, demand for office space, meeting
facilities and operational support is expected to grow.
Speaking about the project, GAP Group Managing Director Ambrish Parajiya said Dholera is
entering a stage where investment announcements are increasingly turning into on-ground
activity. He noted that businesses require supporting infrastructure as they begin operations
and expand their presence in the city.
What Does This Mean For Dholera?
A co-working space may not attract the same attention as a semiconductor fabrication plant.
Yet developments like this often reveal how quickly a city is maturing.
Industrial hubs are built layer by layer. First come the major investments. Then come the
suppliers, service providers, consultants and support businesses that keep everything
running.
The launch of GAP Co-Working Space suggests Dholera is beginning to move into that next
phase.
For companies considering a move to the region, ready-to-use infrastructure can remove one
of the practical challenges of setting up operations. For Dholera itself, it is another sign that
business activity is no longer just being planned — it is gradually taking shape on the ground.
